Communications and Presentation Skills Workshop

Leitrim PPN invites community groups to strengthen their communications skills Community and voluntary organisations across County Leitrim are invited to take part in a practical Communications and Presentation Skills Workshop organised by Leitrim Public Participation Network (PPN) this September. Its free to member groups. The workshop has been developed to help community representatives become confident ambassadors for their organisations by strengthening their communication, presentation and storytelling skills. Participants will explore how to identify key audiences, develop compelling stories and case studies, communicate effectively with stakeholders and deliver presentations with confidence and impact. Practical exercises throughout the workshop will give participants the opportunity to put these skills into practice in a supportive environment. The workshops will be facilitated by respected PR consultant Adrian Langan, who has extensive experience preparing community leaders, volunteers and organisations for presentations, speeches, interviews and media engagement. Two workshops are available: Monday 28 September, or Tuesday 29 September, 10.00am–1.00pm upstairs in Leitrim Development Company, Drumshanbo. Speaking ahead of the workshops, a Mary Mc Keon Co-Ordinator for Leitrim PPN said: "Community groups across Leitrim are doing outstanding work every day. These workshops are about giving volunteers the confidence and practical skills to tell their stories, promote their achievements and represent their organisations with confidence." Attendance is free for Leitrim PPN member groups, but places are limited.
