When Macy’s hires Kris Kringle as a substitute Santa, he claims to be the real Father Christmas and must prove he isn’t insane in this heartwarming Christmas classic. Macy’s department store needs to find a replacement Santa in the run up to Christmas. Kris Kringle (Edmund Gwenn) - with his white beard and twinkling eyes - seem to be the perfect substitute; but when Kris claims that he is the real Santa Claus, he is soon dismissed.
